About PL24 Community Association

Committee members need to be able to contribute about 25 hours a year, although some choose to do more. The role mainly involves:

  • attending meetings of about one and a half hours in length. Some are held in between the meetings above

  • discussing and planning PL24CA activities in online Zoom meetings

  • reading and responding to emails

Committee members also help out in other ways e.g., attending community events and chatting with people, helping with litter picks and/or spruce-ups, applying for funding, writing website content, etc.

We are a formally-constituted community group (originally known as Par Community Association) with a committee, holding meetings four times a year.

Our aims are:

  • To promote community cohesion in the PL24 area by operating as an ‘umbrella group’, offering a forum for discussion and a focal point for the community through the PL24 Community Association Magazine, website and Facebook group

  • To foster inclusivity

  • To contribute to efforts to help improve the quality of life of those living within the PL24 area

We welcome all who share our values.

Members of PL24CA are welcome to attend meetings and contribute to discussions at Committee Meetings and are eligible to vote on proposals. See our Member Agreement here, where you will also find our constitution and all our policies, such as the Privacy Policy.

Meetings are currently held by Zoom and the meeting link will be sent out to members prior to the event. Working Group and Committee Meetings are generally held in the evening and the start time will be confirmed in the Zoom link.
